A Celebration of Creativity Across the District

The much-anticipated Chichester Open Studios Art Trail returns this spring, offering two inspiring weekends filled with creativity, discovery, and community spirit. Spanning 116 venues across the district, this year’s Trail showcases the work of 164 artists, making it one of the largest and most vibrant events on the Chichester cultural calendar.

The Chichester Open Studios Art Trail 2026 is scheduled for the May 16th, May 17th, May 23rd, May 24th and May 25th.

From established professionals with loyal followings to emerging talents fresh from art school, visitors will have the rare opportunity to step inside working studios, meet the artists behind the work, and gain insight into their creative processes.

The Trail features an exciting mix of painters, sculptors, ceramicists, textile artists, printmakers, jewellers, metal workers, photographers, and mixed-media creatives, all ready to share their inspiration, techniques, and passion with the public.

Visitors can pick up a free COS26 Art Trail Guide from: Oxmarket Contemporary Gallery (off East Street), Pallant House Gallery (North Pallant), Artisan Gallery (North Street), The Novium Museum (off West Street), a wide range of local cafés,
galleries, and community outlets across the district.

The Chichester area is divided into six Trail regions:
• Downs

• Harbour

Whether planning a full weekend route or a single afternoon visit, the guide helps visitors explore the rich variety of art and makers throughout the area.
