Jan-IT Services is a local independent IT company based in East Preston offering services including IT Support, Microsoft Software subscriptions, Cloud Solutions and Website Design.

Bookkeeper required

We are looking for a bookkeeper to assist with our expanding business on a self- employed basis. Working hours offered initially are 10-12 hours per week split over Monday / Wednesday / Friday.

We are a small team in a growing business and envisage working hours may increase over the next couple of years, with this role expanding accordingly. As such this role requires a ‘can do’ approach to all aspects of work, and the ability to work independently and alone on occasions when technical staff are working off site.

A Bookkeeper with knowledge of KashFlow Accounting Software desirable but training can be given as needed.

Currently the job includes but is not limited to :-

  • Ensuring all financial transactions are up to date and accurate
  • Reconcile the bank account
  • Creating customers in Kashflow and other applications
  • Input all purchase and sales invoices, receipts and payments
  • Support month end and year end close processes
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and forecasts
  • Liaise with external Accountant where necessary
  • Chasing any unpaid debts as and when required
  • Closing down support tickets & creating invoices to customers
  • Manage two/three email inboxes and action accordingly
  • Act as the first point of contact on the telephone and action any queries
  • Adhoc administration duties – as and when required

We are conveniently based on the 700 bus route and there is free on road parking.
